How did I get here?
Hello, my name is Randy Anderson. I was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. In middle school I began to photograph my friends playing soccer and a camera has been in my hands since. Whether on my mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to Guatemala or to the ancient Peruvian ruins of Machu Picchu, photography has definitely been a lifelong passion. I am lucky to have made it my career for the past 27 years.
I began working as a photographer at the age of 18. I spent 10 years as an on-mountain photographer at Park City Mountain Resort. I began working with Dennis at Walsh Photographic Design in 2005, and as they say, “the rest is history”!
I am a passionate student. I studied sports medicine at The University of Utah and Business Management at the University of Phoenix. I spend several weeks a year attending advanced photography workshops with some of the world’s most renowned photographers. I am also a certified drone pilot.
I married my lovely wife Karina in 2003. We have two children. Kyle, the bookworm, is 20 and Lidia, the princess, is 16. Karina is from Peru, so we have made it a goal to only speak Spanish in the home. Having a bilingual home has been invaluable to our children as we teach them about different cultures.
When I am not behind the camera, you can find me on the sports fields. It does not take much to get me talking about sports.
Well, now you know a little bit more of my story. Now, let’s get acquainted. What’s your story?
